Dr. Jennifer Betters-Bubon
Professor and Chair of the Department of Counselor Education
University of Wisconsin–Whitewater
Dr. Jennifer Betters-Bubon is Professor and Chair of the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. A licensed professional counselor and school counselor in Wisconsin, she brings over a decade of experience as a school counselor and special education teacher to her academic work. Dr. Betters-Bubon’s research focuses on trauma-informed practices and the role of school counselors within multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). She collaborates with public schools to help student services teams align their work within trauma-informed MTSS frameworks. She is co-editor of The School Counselor’s Guide to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (Routledge, 2019; 2023) and Making MTSS Work (ASCA, 2020), and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals.
