Special education teachers are often referred to as the "campus expert" for all behavioral concerns occurring within the school, but may not always feel prepared to serve as the resident behavioral expert. In this webinar, you'll learn about several behavioral strategies that have shown support for promoting student engagement, increasing student compliance, and enhancing social success. After this webinar, you will be able to:

1) Describe the very basic principles of behavior and how to consider these principles when addressing or preventing problematic behaviors.

2) Explain at least four specific behavioral strategies to increase student engagement, increase student compliance, and decrease problematic student behavior.

3) List and locate at least five reputable resources to refer to in order to (a) share with collaborators, (b) further examine the presented strategies, and (c) assist with successful implementation of the presented strategies.
