High Leverage Practices are crucial for all grade levels, including Early Childhood-Kindergarten to Grade 3. The Division for Early Childhood (DEC) Recommended Practices (RPs) are the "High-Leverage Practices (HLPs) for ages 0 to 5". Educators in the K-3 space benefit from understanding how to braid and blend the RPs and other elements of DEC guidance into their practice. It is also important to recognize the National Association for the Education of Young Children Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAPs) as the foundation for all work with young children (0-8) and their families. This program works to showcase the importance of blending and braiding the HLPs, RPs, and DAPs for high-quality services.
