High Leverage Practices in Special Education provides an evidence-based framework for maximizing outcomes for children who receive specialized instruction. Come learn how to translate the research into practice by examining how HLPs can be implemented with students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing. Participants will review real scenarios and consider how HLPs can be used in their own practice. Participants will be able to:

1) Review the four categories of High-Leverage Practices as well as the individual evidence-based practices within each category.

2) Analyze how HLPs can be combined and applied to a variety of students who are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing and examine how HLPs might impact student growth.

3) Reflect on their use of HLPs and will identify ways to increase implementation in their own practice.
